A judgement of the court determined that
Mr. Somyot Pruksakasemsuk,
editor of the magazine Voice of Thaksin,
is guilty of publishing 2 articles which the court considered
illegal (Lese Majeste).
Mr. Sunai Phasuk senior researcher of
Human Rights Watch in Thailand said that
it appears that Mr. Somyot became a target
because he pushed for reforming this law
and was arrested after he began to campaign
for signatures to support this cause,
while those 2 articles
had been published previously.
