Chris McLaughlin, a high level executive at Inmarsat,
gave an interview with VOA reporters in London saying
the last "ping" signal that came from flight MH370
terminated at the southern part of the Indian Ocean,
hundreds of kilometers from where many countries were searching together at first.
Chris McLaughlin stated that the last point where a ping signal was sent
is an area without islands or land,
or a place where there's no way an airplane could land,
while the distance from Perth
would have been too far to reach due to fuel limitations.
