This plan created resentment in the people of Cyprus
as well as President Vladimir Putin of Russia who disagrees as well
due to many Russian millionaires depositing a lot of money in Cyprus.
Previously President Nicos Anastasiades of Cyprus said that
Parliament should vote to reject the plan
because it conflicts with the interests of Cyprus.
And when asked whether or not there were alternative measures,
President Anastasiades said "We have our own plans."
Professor Andreas Hauskrecht from the school of Business Administration at Indiana University told VOA that
if the economic recovery plan is not approved
Cyprus will not be able to pay its debts.
